Christian Science was presented to my husband...

Christian Science was presented to my husband and me a number of years ago by a fellow actor while we were traveling in vaudeville. When my husband mentioned he felt ill, this gentleman lent him a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, saying, "Read it. I am sure it will help you." It did. My husband was soon well, and after reading only the Preface, we both embraced this teaching wholeheartedly.

A few days later my husband suffered an attack of ptomaine poisoning. Although he had been studying Science less than a week, he was able to heal the physical difficulty quickly through his newly gained understanding of God's goodness. We soon purchased all of Mrs. Eddy's works and became earnest students. Needless to say, this was the biggest blessing we ever received.

We also had fine proofs of God's loving care for His children in solving many business problems. As we turned to Him, our loving Father-Mother, a lucrative business opened up enabling my husband and me to work together and also be of service to our community.
