In April 1970 my husband was in an auto accident
In April 1970 my husband was in an auto accident. He was taken unconscious to the hospital, and he remained in a coma for about three weeks. After a month and a half, he came home, partially recovered, but with the physicians' prognosis of possible brain damage.
Up to this point in my life, I had not spent very much time thinking about God, but while my husband was in the hospital, I prayed in the best way I knew how. And my prayers were answered.
A week or so after my husband returned home, I received a telephone call from an old friend that I had not seen for several years. I proceeded to pour out my sad tale, including the medical opinion that there was a possibility my husband might have permanent brain damage. She interrupted my story with such sweetness and sincerity that I can still hear her: "But, my dear, he can be healed with Christian Science." Before the conversation was over, I was asking her eagerly for more information about this Science.
