Of being loved
The very next time
I find myself praying
to be more loving,
or bleating about
why I find it so hard
to love more than I do,
I'm going to interrupt
myself and say:
"How about being
more receptive to
the limitless love of God
that is surrounding me
right now?"
Surely, the sense
of being loved—
of feeling treasured
and upheld—finds loving
both natural and effortless!
