I first learned about Christian Science after some relatives kindly invited my children to attend the Christian Science Sunday School. I was attracted by its teachings and began studying it earnestly. Soon after this, God became the only physician in our household.

Our first healing came when our daughter started having symptoms of a cold and fever. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for her and kept on affirming that God is All-in-all, until I understood clearly that cold and fever are no part of His creation. The unreality of sickness is obvious if God, good, is All. I regained my peace and went to bed, waking in the morning to find the child perfectly well. We were filled with gratitude and joy. Later, when our daughter was about eight, a cold was healed when she herself applied the healing truth of God, which she had learned in Sunday School.
