Looking for a summer job?
First the argument was, "It's too late. You'll never get one now." Then it was, "Anyway, you don't have decent qualifications." Or, "Well, at least you're white, so you'll have a chance." And then it changed to, "Now they're hiring only minorities, and you may as well forget about finding a job!" These are just samplings of some of the arguments I ran up against while looking for a summer job between terms at college.
Mortal mind—the term Christian Science uses for the sum total of belief in matter and its limitations—seems to conjure up an applicable line—or lie—for everyone. Perhaps you've come across some similar to the ones mentioned above. But do these lies really have to govern our lives?
I found the answer to be an emphatic no!
