The simplicity of divine logic

When a little girl was asked what she knew of God, she answered, "I know that God loves me and that He is everywhere." A simple statement of two spiritual facts that, when accepted and understood, expand into countless healing applications. These facts are based on the simplest kind of logic as well as profound spiritual truth.

God is the only power. One may ask, "Can a deep truth be expressed in such simple terms?" Yes, it can. These are simple yet complete metaphysical statements of spiritual fact, which when felt and lived bring healing. Simple spiritual thoughts, consistently affirmed, can be applied effectively and quickly during a moment of fear. For example, at the instant when an accident appears to be happening, or whenever an immediate response to a menacing situation is needed.

While at work, a Christian Scientist slipped and hit her head heavily against an iron railing. She was momentarily stunned. Several passers-by asked if she was all right. She answered, "Yes" and immediately gained this spiritual insight: "Man never fell. Man is the child of God." Pain was dispelled with the acknowledgment that matter cannot report any sensation to Mind. She got up, walked to her destination, and had no pain, swelling, or aftereffects. The incident was completely dismissed until several weeks later when she told her husband.
