Christian Science has taught me to depend solely on God, and the more consistently and persistently I have done this, the more I have grown in understanding God, who is Life itself, and man, who is the reflection of this Life.
As a teen-ager and a dancer, I had quick healings that enabled me to continue with ballet performances. A crushed leg was healed after a horse fell on me; a sprained ankle was quickly restored; a painful skin condition on my feet was healed.
I have had three harmonious childbirths through reliance on God's care. This passage from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was of particular help to me (p. 463): "To attend properly the birth of the new child, or divine idea, you should so detach mortal thought from its material conceptions, that the birth will be natural and safe."
