Reader's prayer
Once
in ignorance
my prayer
reverted
to self
alone:
Father,
help me
through
this hour.
Later selfless love prevailed,
reaching out to friend and stranger,
embracing worldwide congregations
with Truth's glorious facts:
God—potent now and self-revealing;
man—whole, cherished, pure, and free.
Father, let Your Word this hour
dawn on us with healing grace.
Let us receive the light of Christ,
here to comfort, cleanse, and bless.
