As we look at the directions our lives have taken...
As we look at the directions our lives have taken us, some seem good and some not so good. Our course depends on what we have leaned on to help us determine those directions, matter or Spirit, God. The Bible has strong advice on this question (Prov. 3:6): "In all thy ways acknowledge him [God], and he shall direct thy paths."
I was brought up in a family with strong faith in God and a great conviction in the effectiveness of prayer. When I married, my husband was from a similar upbringing, although we were members of different Christian denominations.
On a visit to the United States our daughter became engaged to an American who was a Christian Scientist. We knew very little of this teaching. But after this marriage took place, our interest in Science grew rapidly, and now my husband and I are united in one religion. Our blessings reaped through Christian healing have been numerous.
