A pastor to meet all needs

Imagine having a pastor always with us—ready to guide, comfort, instruct, and heal. No demand is too great for this pastor: no disease too severe, no sorrow too great, no decision too puzzling, no business problem too challenging.

This modern, unique pastor is infinitely more than a person. The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy, ordained in 1895 by Mrs. Eddy to be the pastor in all Christian Science churches, reveal the Comforter. Our pastor's healing message is given in weekly Lesson-Sermons found in the Christian Science Quarterly—Bible Lessons focusing each week on one of twenty-six subjects originally designated by Mrs. Eddy. They contain selections from the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, and correlative citations from the textbook, Science and Health. Each day we can turn to these lessons for inspiration, healing, and guidance.

In each week's Lesson-Sermon there are spiritual, truth-filled answers to any problem. But are we demanding enough of our pastor? Do we ignore solutions already at our fingertips? Try this out: Take a problem—individual, community, or worldwide—to this pastor. Seek the solution with an open heart and a desire to know more about God and your relationship to Him. Then, as you read and study the Lesson-Sermon or listen to it in church on Sunday, expect to find the answer. Your pastor will instruct and direct you.
