With deepest gratitude for Christian Science I give this testimony. I was healed of a malignant disease that had caused extensive areas of my body to deteriorate. Though I never was tempted to seek a medical diagnosis, the symptoms of cancer were evident, and I was tempted to be afraid at times.

Because of all the healings through Christian Science treatment I have had and witnessed, there was only one decision before me—that of relying completely on spiritual means for healing. There have been five generations of Christian Scientists in my family, so I met no family opposition to this decision. For this I hold continuing gratitude.

Even friends, who are not Scientists, but who were aware of the situation and said they felt only medical surgery could help, respected my radical reliance on God.
