After witnessing numerous healings in my family through the application of Christian Science, I can now humbly and gratefully submit my own healing. It came about through steadfast reliance on God and my growing understanding of His tender, loving care for me.

One morning my daughter and I were having breakfast, and she noticed my mouth was distorted. I tried to drink but couldn't. We thought it was a condition of the teeth and gums and made an appointment with a dentist. With the help of my daughter, we kept the appointment. The dentist recommended that we see a specialist, but it was apparent that he was concerned about my physical condition, and he called a medical doctor from across the hall. Since my eyes were watering, he wanted him to examine this condition also. The doctor very kindly obliged, came in and looked at me, and said, "You had better see an eye specialist, or you could have serious trouble." He put a cover on the eye that was most troublesome, but used no medication. We left the office and decided to go home.

It was at this point that I told my daughter I would like to rely on God's loving help and have Christian Science treatment. When we were home, we all read the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy, together with the Christian Science periodicals. We called a practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal. Through the consecrated prayer of the practitioner and my study of Psalms 23, 27, and 91, and of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was immediately free from fear of this most unsightly condition. In a short time there was absolutely no trace of it. I was completely healed.
