Now is good enough!

There is only now, and it holds all good. Yes, that's true! So if ever the thought comes that life will be better in the future, or that it was happier and more fulfilled in the past, we can declare this great truth—the nowness of good.

The material senses, of course, say something quite different. They are constantly telling us that we are mortals with only one life to life, and a relatively short one at that, so we must struggle to get all the good we want for ourselves while we can. This is a hoax, an illusion. In fact, Life is God, omnipresent good, and God is forever! Christian Science reveals this, and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: "Life is eternal. We should find this out, and begin the demonstration thereof. Life and goodness are immortal." Science and Health, p. 246; We might say that material life is like a schoolroom—a learning time in which we gradually see through the mirages of the material senses and demonstrate eternal, divine Life.

Death does nothing to hasten the awakening to spiritual perfection. Yielding to still another illusion never led anyone into heaven. Time, being nothing more than belief, has no power of its own to make us appear to age and die or to make us wiser and better. Every moment belongs to God and is full of newness, inspiration, and purpose.
