Exchange pressure for buoyancy

Each day affords fresh opportunity to decide which view to accept: Are we limited, struggling mortals, or are we cherished, loved, and protected children of God?

The lying counterfeit of the divine Mind, called in the Bible the carnal mind, which is really not intelligence at all, would insist that man is a mortal, subject to all the limitations of mortal existence, including frustration and inadequacies. Acceptance of this false view of man would weigh one down with hopelessness.

One morning when I awoke, the day ahead with its many demands looked foreboding. I felt pressured. But almost immediately I thought, "Why, I'm the child of God right now! I'll exchange mortal pressure for immortal status." And I did. I began acknowledging what a blessing it was to be alive, to be able to reason intelligently, to be aware of my spiritual substance as God's reflection, and to know that I could do everything I needed to do that day, with His ability and for His glory. The day turned out to be busy but progressively fulfilling.
