Christian Science came into my life on a first date (with the man who three years later was to become my husband). I asked what church he belonged to. He told me he was a Christian Scientist. I laughed at him. He stopped the car. I certainly regained my composure and realized he was very serious.

After twelve years of struggle, and five children—years in which I fought acceptance of the truth all the way—the light finally dawned. I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church. Me—this person that thought she would never be a Scientist! Well, I'm here to add my "gratefuls!" There are so many. How can I ever express my gratitude for all of the great work that is carried on by Christian Scientists around the world, for Mrs. Eddy and all of her trials to bring us this truly wonderful and rewarding teaching. I am so thankful that I am a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.

We have used Christian Science for all our needs, but I would like to share one instance because it is one of my first healings. I had suffered from asthma since I was a small child. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner and by simply knowing, "God is All and wants nothing but good for me, His child, so how could anything be wrong," I was completely healed. Our family stands firm on the ground of God's allness, every day, to know each one's perfection.
