Break the Chain of Reaction

Do we often allow our thoughts to move with the current of negative, mortal thinking? If so, we can end that, right now. All true communication is from the divine source, from the one infinite All-Mind. Evil thoughts don't exist within our true mentality. The Scriptures promise, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee."^{ Isa. 26:3;}

Were we to accept unthinkingly all the detrimental chatter thrown at us in conversations and by the media, we would be duped into believing we are helpless material beings. But Christian Science, following the Bible teachings, insists that this is not so; we're spiritual children of Spirit, God. Recognizing this, we won't contribute to a chain of reaction, the source of which cannot be found in the divine Mind. Our need is to "put on the armour of God,"^{ Eph. 6:11;} to leave no area of our thought unguarded. We cannot ignore the slightest lie but need to reverse it alertly.

Reaction to error only prolongs it. Man, the image of God, reflects the omniaction of the only Mind. The spiritual fact that Mind is all-acting is the antidote for reacting to the aggressive suggestions of evil.
