Upon first reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I could remember but one sentence in the Preface (p. vii): "The time for thinkers has come." But this was enough to bring about a healing of my sight, and I discontinued wearing glasses.
I had worn glasses for five years after being told I needed them at my place of employment. After leaving this company I had continued wearing them, because I was sewing for others as well as for my children.
Not only were the glasses put aside, but severe headaches ceased. With gratitude I took up the study of the weekly Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly and attended church with my family.
