The Rainbow
Do you know that the rainbow is a full circle and not just a bow? The next time you see the rainbow, remember that if you were high enough above the earth in an airplane you could see the whole circle with its beautiful colors of red, yellow, green, blue, and violet. It is a circle that has no beginning and no end.
The Bible tells a story about the rainbow, which appeared after Noah came out of the ark with his family and all the living creatures that were saved from the flood. See Gen., Chaps. 8,9; At that time Noah brought gifts to God to show his thanks for the safety they had all had in the ark.
Noah's obedience and gratitude pleased God, and He promised there would never again be such a flood. He would set a rainbow in the clouds to remind the people that God's children and all His creatures would be cared for.
