Wisdom (Dan. 2:20)
The Hebrew noun chokmah is rich with meaning. It signifies technical skill in arts and sciences; effectiveness in leading, teaching, and counseling; the ability to assess information and make appropriate decisions; the order of the universe in creation and history. Accordingly, in ancient Israel, wisdom was a quality of artisans, kings, learned persons, administrators, and of God Himself. Moreover, it connoted the process of education in the art of effective, successful living.
