Two summers ago, on our trip to Italy, Greece, and Yugoslavia, I had a healing in Christian Science after a rather strange happening. One night we were camping right near the Adriatic Sea. We went swimming after sight-seeing. I was coming in from swimming and I stepped on something. My first thought was that it was just a bunch of sharp shells. When my parents finally came down to the beach, I had started to accept the error and was saying how much it hurt. My parents talked to the lifeguard, and he named all the possible things it could have been and said I was probably slashed by a fish called a skate, in which case the foot would swell and be very painful.

We went back to the tent, and my mother and father and I immediately started to know the truth. We said the Lord's Prayer, going over each word and what it meant. One line that meant a lot at the time says (Matt. 6:10), "Thy kingdom come." Mrs. Eddy's spiritual interpretation is, "Thy kingdom is come; Thou art ever-present" (Science and Health, p. 16). We read parts of the Bible and Science and Health and also articles from the Sentinel. I was no longer in pain.

In two days I was completely healed. This healing and others I have had make me grateful for an understanding of Christian Science.
