Untouched by age or accident
God's Faultless Production
If we start our reasoning on the basis of God as perfect and complete, the only cause and creator, who is infinite good, then it follows that man, produced by God in His image, must be perfect, complete, and good. However, if we begin with and believe in imperfect, faulty man, we are believing in an imperfect, faulty God, a mortal-like God; or else we are believing in a creator or creators other than God.
Christian Science begins with Mind, divine Love, as the All-in-all, the only power and cause. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Divine Science fulfils the law and the gospel, wherein God is infinite Love, including nothing unlovely, producing nothing unlike Himself, the true nature of Love intact and eternal." Message to The Mother Church for 1902, pp. 6–7;
What a contrast between the two concepts of creation! One says man is mortal, material, and usually defective and inferior because of heredity, accident, or bad luck. Most men and women, it says, are second-rate with faulty or deformed bodies and with unloving and undesirable qualities. It says that all become worn out by age and end up useless.
