The Blessings of Spiritual Preparedness
"However do you manage in these times?" asked a neighbor whom I had spoken to occasionally. I answered that I relied on God. Now this was really novel to her, and when I went on to say, "I do nothing without prayer," that statement evoked more surprise.
"What do you mean by prayer?" she asked.
I assured her that to me prayer means a childlike trust in an ever-present, loving Father-Mother God, who is always mindful of the welfare of His children. According to Christian Science God is revealed as the one, perfect, all-knowing Mind, to whom we can intelligently turn in full confidence that He knows and supplies the ideas we need. This prayer is spiritual preparedness for healing solutions. In day-to-day living we should constantly relate to Mind's wisdom and guidance in regard to whatever is happening in our experience.
