In Christian Science I have learned what the commandment "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" (Matt. 22:39) means, and I was enabled to apply it.
I lost my husband and only son in the war, and so I took a position as an accountant. I acquired a good technical knowledge in my twenty-five years in the profession. When one day a head accountant with little professional knowledge was hired and placed in my department, it resulted in difficulties. Errors which he made were exonerated and that caused inharmonious conditions in our working relationship.
I fervently turned to God in prayer, cleansing my consciousness in order to see the child of God and not the personality of one I disliked. It seemed the troublesome relationship got worse. I realized that one's true employment as an idea of God is to reflect God. I finally decided to quit my position and work out the problem in quiet seclusion with God.
