THE VOCABULARY OF SPIRIT

On all sides we hear hearts crying out
in anguish.
There is bitter shouting,
"Good is over."

Does this tempt you?
Do you hear loud whispers that the good you had
is no more—
job, home, friends, security?
Make your own list of things that haunt you.
Then, rejoice!
Good is over.

(Quick! The dictionary!)

"Over: again. As in 'over again.' "
Yes, good is over.
Good is ever new—again and again and again
and again!
