As a student in eighth grade, I would like to tell how Christian Science applies to my daily life when I use the truth.
I try to read a section of the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly every morning. One week when the subject was "Life," a citation that I thought most helpful was from Job (33:4): "The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almightyhath given me life." This truth healed me of a cold. One day I seemed to be hoarse with swollen glands. I started to think to myself, "Well, since God is omnipotent and omnipresent and man is His image and likeness, then what seems so real cannot be true!" I was healed when my concept of myself changed!
In April some of my friends invited me to go roller skating one night. We arrived at the roller rink and were having a good time until I injured my back badly. I felt very uncomfortable all that night after they had taken me home. I started reading in the Sentinel. As soon as I knew that God never created or allowed anything of this nature and that God is not conscious of anything but perfection in me, I was healed of this trouble.
