Needed-A Change of Heart
Christian Science presents a grand opportunity to destroy disorders of the heart. How? One has to embark upon a change of heart.
What do we mean by a change of heart? Looking away from matter to the permanence of our spiritual being—to the knowledge of our indissoluble relationship with God. It is spiritual growth, then, that is the vital factor in a change of heart. Didn't Christ Jesus imply this in his Sermon on the Mount when he said, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also"? Matt.6:21;
Jesus worked ceaselessly to bring about this reformation in human consciousness. To Nicodemus he declared, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3; Does this imply a material rebirth? No. The transformation is radical indeed, but it is a change of consciousness from a material to a spiritual basis. A material theory of cause and effect, of creator and creation, fosters belief in the incomplete man—that allegorical man called Adam— whereas a knowledge of God and of man as His spiritual, perfect reflection bestows complete harmony.
