Seeing Through Matter
Whatever problem we face, the solution can always be found as we come to learn that matter is unreal. And the fact that matter is unreal becomes clear as we realize that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and matter is Spirit's opposite. But solutions to problems often seem delayed because of our reluctance to face the fact of matter's unreality. They are solved as we see through matter to spiritual reality.
There appears to be a power opposed to God, a power named devil or evil. This so-called power has many other names—chance, false belief, natural forces, health laws, animal magnetism, and so on. But they can all be summed up in one word, "matter." Evil claims to be mind in matter, but matter has no intelligence. When we see the unreality of matter we see the unreality of all evil. Then we can see man as he is.
Man is the image or idea of Spirit. He reflects the divine understanding. To heal a disease, it is necessary to bring to light the truth of God and man. And this truth includes no matter, no disease, no belief, no believer, only Spirit and its perfect idea.
