Golfing with God
One morning before Sunday School my friend Kim and I went out to play golf. It was a sunny day and we were having a good time until we got to the second tee. Kim's shot wasn't very good, and he got discouraged. He started saying he wasn't any good at golf. The game wasn't as happy then for either of us. I wondered how I could help him.
I started thinking about God. As we got to the green I asked Kim if God could make anything less than perfect. He said, "No." He knew I meant what it says in Genesis, "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen. 1:31;
For about fifteen minutes neither one of us said anything. Just before he was ready to tee off at the next hole, he grinned at me and said, "Thank you." The rest of the game was really good, and his score was one of the best it had ever been.
