Jesus said (Matt. 11:28): "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
This loving invitation was accepted when I witnessed my husband's instantaneous healing of a spinal injury, which the doctors had declared would prevent him from ever walking again. His testimony of this healing was published in the Sentinel in the late nineteen-thirties.
Several years after attending church services and daily studying the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, I was called upon to prove the power of the truths I had been learning. One day one of the hoses in my washing machine came loose from the faucet. The spinner whipped the loose end of the hose around with great force. The hose struck me in the face. My first thought was, "If I could but touch the hem of Christ's garment, I could be healed." Immediately, as a voice speaking, this thought came: "You have Christ's garment, which is the Christ, Truth, here and now." As I accepted this healing message, the bleeding from my nose and mouth abated instantly.
