No Ivory Tower for Love
As Christian Science makes clear, loving our neighbor as Christ Jesus loved humanity eliminates seeing any truth in the picture of sick and sinful mortality. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health: "The substance, Life, intelligence, Truth, and Love, which constitute Deity, are reflected by His creation; and when we subordinate the false testimony of the corporeal senses to the facts of Science, we shall see this true likeness and reflection everywhere." Science and Health, p. 516;
Any quality of selfishness, faultfinding, or unmerited censure that we find in our consciousness, we can be sure is dimming the light of Love in our experience.
God, divine Love, is the Judge and judges righteously. He is divine Mind, immortal Principle, and judges justly, without rancor, condemnation of the individual, or personal whim. His law, unconscious of evil, acts to correct it. As we discover the eternal truth of God and man in His likeness we will trust His law and be able to see the true likeness with increasing consistency.
