The first time I witnessed Christian Science healing was when our daughter was two years old. She had climbed up on the gate and fallen, hitting her head on the concrete driveway. As my husband and I drove her to the emergency hospital I prayed to God, whom I had always known to be a loving God, to save the child.

After a discussion with her pediatrician X rays were taken. We were told to take her home and watch her carefully through the night, as she might slip into unconsciousness. In that case, we were to call the doctor immediately.
