"The anchor of hope"
A full, rich hope is one of the priceless conditions made possible to mankind through the enlightenment of Christian Science. In the mortal scene hope at times seems to fluctuate precariously. A basic question is where is one's hope anchored? If anchored in God, divine Principle, hope does not fluctuate. If anchored in mortality, however, there can be no stability. Rich hope cannot be a deceiver when it rests in God, the Father-Mother of all identity.
A deep study of the Science of Life, Christian Science, gives hope a firm foundation.
In one of her messages to The Mother Church, in speaking of the dangerous elements in human nature that would undermine men's rights, self-government, and freedom, Mrs. Eddy writes, "Here our hope anchors in God who reigns, and justice and judgment are the habitation of His throne forever."
