Refuse to Sentence Yourself!

Many times a day we may be guilty of condemning ourselves to suffer, either mentally or physically. People are constantly accepting or rejecting what comes to consciousness. Such a suggestion as "I've worked long and hard hours today, so I'll be weary and need rest" needs to be checked immediately.

Although it is normal to rest sometimes, it is most important to watch out for such suggestions of self-condemnation. Be always alert to reject inharmonious, evil thoughts. Rise up mentally and declare, "I'm not guilty of such thoughts." Refuse to take the blame for their origin. Stake no claim to them. They are not ours, and we need not pay their penalty when once we recognize them merely as suggestions of mortal mind.

Mortal thoughts accepted as true or real, and as having power to influence human experience, either harmoniously or inharmoniously, may have an effect in results that follow in one's experience. But this would be the seeming effect of false belief believed in. Actually God, Mind, is the only cause there is. His law of good is unlimited, and does not permit anything unlike His perfection to come into being or exist as a reality. The man of God's creating is spiritual, and His reflection expresses health, holiness, and immortality.
