My introduction to this Science came when I was told by a neighbor that Christian Science teaches God is Love. She also related her husband's healing of quinsy. Later, when our third child was born, we had the help of a medical nurse who had become interested in Christian Science. While at our house, the nurse had a wonderful healing of a difficulty with her hip through Christian Science. Although at the time we didn't think this had impressed us and stayed in our thought, we realized later that it had, for God was leading us.

When one of our children was seriously ill during infancy, I was put in touch with a Christian Science practitioner who prayed for her. The child was soon beautifully healed.

The practitioner called a few more times to help me gain a better understanding of Life, Truth, and Love. She also recommended I study these Bible verses: "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword" (Heb. 4:12) and (Isa. 26:3, 4) "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength."
