I am deeply grateful for the spiritual growth I have received from applying the teachings of Christian Science to challenges in my life.

One of the more memorable healings took place shortly after the birth of our second son. At the time I was on active duty with the Army, and my wife and I led a very full life.

Several days after bringing home the baby it was evident that he had a rupture. My first reaction was one of fear, as I knew of similar cases which had required surgery in order to correct the condition. My wife and I began to pray, seeing the baby as a complete and perfect spiritual expression of God. To support our prayers, we also asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner.
