You Have Many Talents

We all have greater faculties, abilities, and capabilities than we have yet used, for the enrichment of our lives and for sharing with others. And these talents have a divine and inexhaustible source in God.

The first chapter of Genesis in the Bible tells us: "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion." Gen. 1:27, 28; Man is described here in his actual spiritual nature, God-endowed for the experience of unlimited good. God sets no bounds on man's possibilities and activities. He supplies him with infinite resources of intelligence and with reflection of Mind's creative power.

Christian Science teaches us to recognize and accept as practical and demonstrable in everyday affairs the realities of spiritual creation. Claiming our God-given nature and drawing upon its boundless resources can bring interesting and satisfying lines of endeavor into our lives. Every facet of our good, human activity is released to greater freedom and enjoyment. Human talents are derived from God, divine Mind, and when we learn to listen for God's guidance, we'll find ways to uncover and develop them.
