RUN WITH PATIENCE

Hebrews 12:1, 2

Heavenbound, headed toward Truth,
off in a high spurt of confidence—

winded, sorefooted in woes,
blinded by tears to the track—

weary we run, persisting, till
Christ overtakes us at last—

when, freshly and freely inspired,
resting—untrammeled—we race.
