The Greek word rendered "quickeneth" means literally "causes to live" or "makes alive." Moffatt has, "What gives life is the Spirit: flesh is of no avail at all."
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16)
