Under the Influence of...?
In the realm of the real, in the perfect, spiritual creation of Spirit, man manifests nothing unlike God, good. There is no aspect of God's perfect work that needs transforming, redeeming, saving. Holding to this spiritual fact unveils more and more of the real man, our true spiritual selfhood, which is forever at one with the Father, eternally perfect, harmonious, and good.
Man has never been contaminated by evil influences of any kind, for no evil influences ever proceeded from God, who is of "purer eyes than to behold evil." Hab. 1:13; This understanding, together with our undaunted faith in it, enables us to demonstrate here and now God's power and presence with us.
There are not two of us—one good, one bad, existing side by side. There is only one, immortal man, who is spiritual and eternally as pure and good as Mind, his creator. An understanding of this spiritual truth helps us rightly respond to the searching questions, What is the true nature of man? What are his capacities?
