Sunburst of Understanding
Soon I can see the first glimpse of understanding light
as one catches the glint
of the first light of dawn.
I know that one doesn't gain the complete
understanding of the Christ-power
and God all at once,
But as the feeling of God's loving grows,
I know.
As I lie here, listening to the evening's rain fall round about me,
I talk with God.
Tonight my thought is focused on the Christ.
One day all lingering shadows of doubt will melt away
and my life will be full of light and the Christ-power will be
a clear path for me.
As I lie here in the dark,
I know
that I have talked with God.
