What I Am
Are we being limited, possibly condemned, by the concepts others have formed of us? Are we being affected, impressed, or frightened by their classification of us? Are others' concepts influencing us to behave as they expect us to behave, causing us to fulfill their prophesying?
A grandmother declared to her small grandson, "I must go and make myself pretty for your grandfather." Without a moment's hesitation the child declared earnestly, "Why, you always look pretty to him!"
The metaphysician who practices looking beyond the physical, looks at man, the manifestation of God, and loves what he sees, no matter what seems to be hiding or obscuring real identity.
