Undeviating Honesty
Honesty in individuals is the stabilizer of business, government, and other organized activity. Dishonesty betrays people, undermines merited confidence, and indicates an ignorance, or at least a forgetfulness, of our heavenly Father's ever-presence. Problems caused by lack of integrity spotlight its importance.
Scrupulous honesty demands avoiding the meandering, dead-end roads of the belief that evil can share God's control over man. In the Sermon on the Mount, Christ Jesus declared, "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matt. 7:14;
Christian Science proves that the narrow way of integrity is the route revealing God's all-powerful goodness. Before one has traveled far along it, he discovers to his delight that it does not restrict him from anything truly constructive. The Psalmist promises, "The Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Ps. 84:11;
