Look Where You're Going!
Mortal beliefs and opinions sometimes seem good and right on the surface. Obviously, carnal beliefs often come subtly and don't present themselves with horns and a tail! Evil, or error, would slide by as our own thought. It would cause all but the very alert to accept aggressive—but powerless—mental suggestions as real.
How do we go about keeping our thought spiritually based (God-centered) when problems loom large before us and clamor for our attention? We stay on a true course by resolutely turning our thought away from material appearances as did our great Master, Christ Jesus, and by accepting as real only the evidence supported by spiritual sense.
Beginning with the premise that God, Spirit, created man in His perfect likeness, we reach the natural conclusion that man is spiritual, for Spirit could not possibly create matter. As God's image, or reflection, man must of necessity be perfect in every way. Reasoning such as this lifts thought into the realm of Truth, which is the only real dwelling place man has. From this high vantage point it becomes easy to detect and reject aggressive mental suggestions of every sort, whether they be of lack, inharmonious relationships, sin, sickness, disease, discords of any kind, or death itself.
