Benefits Flowing from Spiritualized Thought

A correct understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him is gained in proportion to the spiritualization of our thought.

We are continually being confronted with a choice: We can either claim our unity with divine Mind, as recipients of His unfailing love, always governed harmoniously by His supreme power, or accept the opposite—the belief that we are lone mortals, separated from God and subject to all sorts of material forces resulting in suffering, hardship, lack, or even death. The spiritualized point of view based on the correct understanding of God and of man's relation to Him, brings immediate blessings to anyone who persistently maintains it.

Paul wrote, "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Gal. 6:7; If this statement chiefly instills a fear that God will condemn and punish us for breaking one of His commandments, the effect may be negative and repressive. But as we gain, through the study of Christian Science, a better understanding of God as ever-present, unfailing, universal Love, we can see that in proportion as our thoughts and actions reflect divine Love, we reap an abundant harvest of good, both for ourselves and for those whose lives we touch.
