I would like to express my sincere appreciation of what Christian Science has meant to me for more than forty years. During these years of earnest study I have had many wonderful healings and experiences.

My first healing came after I had been confined to my bed for almost three months, suffering from what a specialist and other doctors diagnosed as tuberculosis of the throat. When I seemed to be unable to cope with this situation, my mother suggested that I try Christian Science. This was around eight thirty one morning. I contacted a Christian Science practitioner right away.

She told me I was God's spiritual idea and gave me prayerful treatment. Since I had been on a diet for several months, she asked me to study Christ Jesus' words (Matt. 6:31-33): "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
