Christian Science has been my way of life for many years
Christian Science has been my way of life for many years. The blessings we have received through the study of Science are without number.
I would like to tell of a healing of my son at the age of two. He was quite ill with the measles. As I was reading the Lesson-Sermon to him one morning, he seemed to be losing consciousness.
I didn't know what to do, but I loved God with all my heart, and earnestly asked Him to show me what the boy needed. I took the child in my arms and assured him I loved him very much. I told him he wasn't material but was really an idea of God, reflecting Life and Love. I remembered Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 368), "Deny the existence of matter, and you can destroy the belief in material conditions." I prayerfully denied the existence of matter in any shape or form, even as a belief. Then I put the child in his bed.
