A Lesson of Faith
Some of Jesus' parables and acts may seem ambiguous until we grasp their spiritual meaning.
The Bible tells us, for instance, of the barren fig tree that withered after Jesus cursed it. This is one parable that might make people wonder why Christ Jesus, who preached a loving God, would condemn a tree that had no fruit. Wouldn't he have healed it?
I had learned in my study of Christian Science that God is Love. His Love is invariably expressed, and Jesus taught his followers this truth by proving it in his healing and redemptive works among the people.
