Stage Fright?

Many of us at one time or another have to face an audience: perhaps to give a committee report, to conduct a meeting, or to speak at some cultural, business, or academic event. While some people can do this in a relaxed, free and easy manner, others find it sheer misery.

How, then, can the fear and discomfort of being in front of people be overcome? By gaining a deep, spiritual understanding of the truth of being as revealed by Christian Science and prayerfully applying the spiritual facts of God and man to our experience. This will overcome stage fright, no matter how long it may have harassed us.

Christian Science teaches the completely spiritual nature of man. He is the harmonious and exact reflection, or image and likeness, of perfect God, infinite Mind, Spirit, the only Ego. Thus the real, spiritual man is perfect and complete now, expressing all the unlimited and diversified spiritual qualities and characteristics of his ever-present creator, the source of all good. A few of these divine attributes are intelligence, grace, beauty, joy.
