Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 262): "Christian Science takes naught from the perfection of God, but it ascribes to Him the entire glory." After writing a thesis for the final requirement of graduate school, I felt the truth of these words more deeply than ever before. Every detail of this thesis evolved as a result of my consistently applying Christian Science; it took shape as I saw more of the allness, nearness, and power of God. Healings and enlightenment that came during this experience were evidenced in my finding a topic, overcoming procrastination, frustration, eyestrain, and severe headaches. I would like to share in more detail some healings that were particularly meaningful to me.

After writing for several months, suddenly I noticed my deadline was drawing near. Besides the fact that most of the paper needed to be rewritten, there was a long article essential to proving my ideas that I was unable to understand. It looked impossible for me to finish in time. I made a phone call to a friend, hoping he would be able to help me understand the article, but when I found he was not at home, my nervousness increased. Before long nervousness was manifesting itself in a frightening physical condition.

With a Christian Science practitioner's calming and cheering thought my attitude began to change. He asked me, "What in heaven is there to worry about?" I realized that Truth is the rock of ages and this rock is the foundation of my being. Since I was ever at one with my unshakable cause, it was impossible for me as its effect to be controlled by nerves or time. I also studied what Mrs. Eddy says about creation and saw the necessity for my understanding that there is one creator, infinite Principle, and man simply reflects the divine and perfect creative power.
