SPIRITUALIZING THOUGHT

through inspiration from the Bible

A day without inspiration would be like a day without light. The essence, the vital part, of thinking and acting would be missing. Tasks, events, people, could seem colorless and dull if we had little to nerve animation and joy. But when we see the light of the Christ, the spirit of Truth and Love, shining in our days— for, actually, its radiance is ever and everywhere present—everything has new life for us.

When understood through Christian Science, the Science of Christ, the Bible brings this much-to-be-desired awakening of inspired consciousness. It's not that we are transported into a different realm, into some faraway kingdom. But right where we are, through inspiration, all the old, familiar things in the same, usual surroundings take on fresh meaning.

Possibilities appear, horizons widen, and where doors have seemed irrevocably closed we find no door at all. The way is open. The light of the Christ transforms our thought and enables us to see scientifically the perfect, spiritual, altogether harmonious universe of God, divine Love. This universe was created by God in the beginning, and is always present though it is invisible to unenlightened, uninspired thought.
